Scout's No. 5 OT in the South and four-star Scott Lashley selects Alabama

It was the second time in as many days Alabama landed a Mississippi four-star as Scott Lashley selected the Crimson Tide on Tuesday.

On Monday it was Nigel Knott

A day later Scott Lashley became the second state of Mississippi four-star to pick Alabama in a pre-packaged interview with his high school.

The West Point (Miss.) standout selected UA within a final group of the Crimson Tide, Mississippi State and LSU. He visited each of the the SEC West programs officially over the last three weeks.

The Tuscaloosa trip was during the national championship parade celebration and it was then when many considered Alabama a threat to longtime favorite and semi-local program MSU, where Lashley had been committed in the past.

Recruited consistently by offensive line coach Mario Cristobal, the late push paid off and the program has its third offensive tackle pledge of the cycle. Five-star JUCO standout Charles Baldwin and California four-star Jonah Williams are each already enrolled at the university.
