Three-star Marietta (Ga.) Lassiter kicker Mitchell Wasson, who visited Tuscaloosa on Saturday, elected to accept a preferred walk-on offer from the program over similar offers from Georgia and Florida.
Admittedly struggling with the stressful decision, the senior pushed his decision date back after the weekend until he came to a point Tuesday.
"It's the best football program in the country," Wasson said. "There's great coaches, and it has always been my dream and goal school to play for."
Informing special teams coordinator Bobby Williams over the phone, UA's newest kicker had come full circle since participating in UA's kicking camp over the summer (above, far left).
Wasson expects to compete for a scholarship early in his college career.
