The linebacker picked up another scholarship.
"It feels good, I've been humble and praying to God for this," Britt said. "I hope everything goes the way I plan it on going.
"Nick Saban said he loved my film and my grades."
Britt has long awaited the Crimson Tide extension amid a two-week period in which he's added nearly a dozen other offers.
"I grew up as an Alabama fan, my room is all 'Bama right now," he said with a laugh. "I was more of a laid back Alabama fan, but I like Auburn, too. I'm building relationships with Auburn down there.
"It's a dream offer. They did just sign the No. 1 and No. 2 linebacker in the nation, and I'm trying to play wherever I go. But I feel like I can play with those guys."
Despite the recent whirlwind, Britt expects to hit the road before getting closer to a decision.
"I want to take all of my visits first, I just can't commit anywhere. I want to make the best decision for me," he said. "I have never been to Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Florida, Michigan, none of these schools. They haven't been recruiting me that long."
