2018 Texas TE Malcolm Epps says he committed to Alabama on Saturday

Alabama hosted dozens of elite 2017 and 2018 prospects on Saturday and the first to pull the trigger and join the Crimson Tide's commitment list was 2018 Texas tight end Malcolm Epps.

The banner week for class of 2018 Houston (Tex.) Dekaney High School tight end Malcolm Epps was capped in a big way Saturday.

Three days after learning of his Alabama Crimson Tide scholarship offer, among others, he pounced on the opportunity while in Tuscaloosa for an elite junior day event.

"Best program in the entire country," he said.

Epps, who picked Alabama over offers from Florida State, LSU and Texas A&M early on, checks in as the Crimson Tide's second commitment in the class. He joins Louisiana two-way lineman Dare Rosenthal early on.
