Former Maryland offensive coordinator Mike Locksley joining Alabama as offensive analyst

Former Maryland offensive coordinator Mike Locksley is joining Alabama as offensive analyst, BamaMag has learned.

Former Maryland offensive coordinator Mike Locksley is joining Alabama as offensive analyst, BamaMag has learned. 

The interim head coach of the Terrapins in 2015 from October 11 through the rest of the season will also assist Crimson Tide recruiting in an on-campus capacity. 

Locksley coached at Maryland for 10 total years, coaching quarterbacks as well, in two seperate stints. He was also the offensive coordinator at Illinois (2005-08) and was the head coach at New Mexico from 2009 to 2011, before returning to College Park. The coaching veteran also has SEC experience, serving as Ron Zook's running backs coach and recruiting coordinator at Florida in 2003 and 2004. 

A Washington, D.C. native, Locksley played defensive back at Towson.
