Having completed our examination of every position in the Nick Saban Era, we have determined what would be the All-Saban team in his extraordinary nine years as Alabama’s coach.
All of those selected for spots as best at their position (or positions in those instances where there are two players) played on national championship teams – and were in great part responsible for those team championships.
They were All-America players in many cases, winners of individual awards for being the nation’s best at times, and had the attributes necessary to be winning football players and leaders for Nick Saban.
Today we review those selected as best at their positions on defense, including punter and punt return specialist.
