The Alabama women’s golf team won the Southeastern Conference championship and the Crimson Tide is the nation’s number one ranked team going into NCAA Tournament play. So is it any surprise that Bama is well-represented on the All-SEC team?
Senior Emma Talley and freshman Cheyenne Knight earned first team All-SEC honors while senior Janie Jackson and sophomore Lakareber Abe were named to the second team. Knight was also named to the SEC All-Freshman Team while junior Cammie Gray was named to the SEC’s Community Service Team.
Alabama Coach Mic Potter was named SEC Coach of the Year for the sixth time in his career. Potter previously earned the honor in 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
The Crimson Tide returns to action this weekend at the NCAA Shoal Creek Regional at the Shoal Creek Club in suburban Birmingham.
