The Alabama Crimson Tide signed the No. 1 class of 2016 in February but a pair of its five-stars won't be on the roster this year. Kendell Jones, the five-star defensive tackle signee from Kileen (Tex.) Shoemaker High School, will instead enroll at a junior college.
Jones' father, Kendell Jones, Sr., confirmed the news to Scout and indicated it was a testing issue as his son missed the cut "by four points."
The news was first reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Monday evening.
The Texan is the second five-star casualty from the top class following junior college offensive lineman Charles Baldwin's dismissal from the Alabama program last month for a violation of team rules.
