Alabama JUCO OT 2017 Commit Elliot Baker Looks Forward to Competing in SEC

Elliot Baker is the top offensive tackle from the junior college ranks. He is San Francisco born and bred having prepped at Archbishop Riordan HS (CA) a private all-male Catholic institution. Winning is a priority for the towering 6-7, 300 pound physically imposing lineman.

The class of 2017 Alabama commit is set to for another season as a member of the defending JUCO National Champions, City College of San Francisco.  Winning back-to-back national titles is the goal for the Rams.  Elliot Baker has no ties to the state of Alabama but was determined to forge a path to the “Mecca” of college football – Tuscaloosa.

The journey to academically qualify and garner attention from the Tide coaching staff began at CCSF, literally across the street from his high school.  Baker, scheduled to be an early enrollee, alternates at either tackle position in the power spread offense but would welcome a chance to anchor the coveted left side at the next level.  He was a consensus 2015 NCFC All-Conference Bay 6 as a freshman and named a preseason All-American by CG Recruiting as well as a Super Soph by Sporting News.

BamaMag.com met with Baker on the urban campus to discover more about the tall, soft-spoken, athletic offensive tackle intent on competing in “the best conference in America” - SEC.
