Evaluation Notes: Jerry Jeudy officially had nine catches for 131 yards and two scores Friday night as Deerfield Beach (Fla.) dismantled Pompano Beach (Fla.) Ely 30-3, but he had some big plays called back in the process. Flag or not, the Scout100 wide receiver looked the part, using speed, solid hands and elusiveness to make things look relatively easy in between the lines. Jeudy has always been a noted good route-runner and it was more of the same Friday night, but he was rather difficult to corral after the catch. The senior can make defenders miss but he also showed some lower-body power in running through arm tackles in addition to displaying his savvy to navigate in the open field. He was often relied-upon in big situations where the Ely defense knew he was to be targeted and he still more than held his own on short to intermediate routes as well as down the football field. Jeudy can work to become more physical and active when the ball doesn't come his way and he knows added bulk will boost his overall game, too.
