Following an official visit, Alabama has landed the No. 6 prospect in America and five-star LB Dylan Moses

Alabama hosted its first group of official visitors over the weekend and it ended with the surprise commitment of five-star linebacker Dylan Moses.

Few should be surprised when the Alabama Crimson Tide pulls off a major recruiting win but Sunday afternoon it sent shock waves through the recruiting world in landing Dylan Moses, the five-star Bradenton (Fla.) IMG linebacker who was in Tuscaloosa for his official visit.

Nick Saban and company offered the Baton Rouge, La. native in middle school and he delivered the news before heading back to Florida following the initial official visit in his recruitment.

Moses, who once committed to hometown LSU, was expecting to make all five official visits before a December decision. The commitment announcement he posted on Twitter mentioned a "shutdown" of the recruiting process including the end of his official visit plans.

The No. 6 overall prospect in America, he joins fellow five-star linebacker VanDarius Cowan and four-stars Markail Benton and Gary Johnson on the Alabama commitment list at the position.
