Former Alabama & Auburn Players QB Jacob Coker and C Reese Dismukes along with WKRG Sports Director Randy Patrick Share Iron Bowl Thoughts

Battle for Braggin’ Rights in the state of Alabama are settled annually in the season ending conflict billed as the Iron Bowl even though the hotly contested skirmish is no longer played in the Steel City of Birmingham. Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa hosts the 81st meeting and 69th consecutive encounter between the Tide and Tigers on Saturday at 2:30 PM Central on CBS.

The game permeates statewide conversations 365 days a year among the avid followers of Alabama and Auburn.  Books, documentaries and TV specials are byproducts of the fabled clash featuring SEC Western Division intrastate rivals.

Veteran WKRG-TV Sports Director Randy Patrick of Channel 5 CBS affiliate in Mobile has witnessed three decades plus of the epic battles.  He has a library of 30-minute Iron Bowl shows as evidence.

BamaMag.com caught up with Patrick and his two guests for the 2016 “Battle for Braggin’ Rights” version scheduled to air Thanksgiving evening at 6:30 PM and Friday at noon.  Jacob Coker, former Alabama starting quarterback for the 2015 National Champions and 2014 Rimington Trophy recipient, former Auburn center, Reese Dismukes were at the Wind Creek Casino and Hotel in Atmore (AL) for the Tuesday evening taping.
