Alabama adds two of nation’s top 10 for January enrollment

Isaiah Buggs top defensive end and Elliot Baker No. 2 offensive tackle signing with Alabama

The top-ranked Alabama football program signed two junior college players, Isaiah Buggs and Elliot Baker, to national letters of intent on Wednesday during the mid-year signing period. The pair will enroll in January at The University of Alabama and go through 2017 spring drills with the Crimson Tide.
Baker, a 6-7, 295-pound offensive lineman of out San Francisco Community College, is a four-star prospect who is ranked as the No. 2 junior college tackle prospect in the nation and tenth best JUCO prospect regardless of position.
Buggs, a native of Ruston, La., is a 6-5, 290, defensive end out of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. He is rated the No. 1 junior college defensive end and the No. 2 overall junior college player and a five-star by Scout.com. He finished this season with a team-high 75 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.
Incidentally, Scout.com’s No. 1 junior college prospect is a cornerback from Blinn College in Texas, one Kendall Sheffield, who transferred from Alabama prior to this season. He does not include Bama among the schools he is considering.
