Alabama DC Jeremy Pruitt and LB Tim Williams Seek to Stop Clemson QB

Alabama Defensive Coordinator Jeremy Pruitt faces the task of corralling a Clemson offense averaging 39.5 ppg and 502 yards of total offense. Tiger QB Deshaun Watson has accounted for 46 touchdowns and is two shy of breaking his own school record of 47.

The College Football Playoff National Championship Media Day in Tampa at Amalie Arena gave a chance to ask Alabama (no. 1, 14-0) DC Jeremy Pruitt about plans to slow down the prolific Clemson (no. 2, 13-1) signal caller, Deshaun Watson.

Senior linebacker Tim Williams (6-4, 252 pounds) recalls playing against the Tigers in last year’s 45-40 Tide victory.  The memory of zero sacks remains fresh in his mind.  The senior defender has recorded nine sacks (-97 yards) this season and is hungry to disrupt the Tiger offense.
