Alabama has highest signing points of Nick Saban recruiting

Alabama has had another Nick Saban football recruiting class, which is to say outstanding. In fact, the 2017 Crimson Tide signing class is No. 1 in the nation, the third time in the last four years and second consecutive year to finish number one, and posted the highest point total Saban has had at Alabama.
Alabama landed 13 members of the 100, including six five-star players, and finished with 5,389 points at the conclusion of signings Wednesday.
At the time of Alabama’s conclusion of signing, Georgia was second with 5,196 points, followed by Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, LSU, Southern Cal, Florida State, Auburn, and Texas A&M in the top 10, making five of the top 10 from the Southeastern Conference.
Other SEC teams in the top 25 are 12. Florida, 15. Tennessee, 19. South Carolina, and 25. Mississippi State.
The points are based on the rankings of Bama’s top 25 signees, although the Tide will have 26 signed. Alabama also is expected to have two Blueshirts, meaning recruited and committed players who will join the team without scholarships.
Alabama’s previous high point total was the 2014 recruiting class, which had 5,222 points and was also No. 1. Last year’s No. 1 class had 4,807 points and the 2008 No. 1 recruiting class had 4,967.
In addition to the six five-star signees, Alabama had 17 four-star signees and four three-stars.

Najee Harris is ranked No. 1 in the nation as a running back and the nation’s No. 1 prospect regardless of position by and is a five-star.
Kedrick James, a Scout. com four-star, is ranked No. 13 in the nation at tight end.
Mac Jones is a three-star and ranked No. 28 quarterback in the nation by
Jerry Jeudy is a four-star and ranked ranked the No. 7 wide receiver in the nation by
Alex Leatherwood is a five-star ranked the No. 3 offensive tackle in the nation.
Phidarian Mathis is the No. 8 defensive tackle in the nation and a four-star.
Kyriq McDonald is the No. 42 cornerback in the nation by and a three-star.
Xavier McKinney is a four-star ranked 11th safety in the nation.
Dylan Moses is the nation’s No. 1 inside linebacker and a five-star by
Kendall Randolph is a four-star ranked No. 15 offensive tackle in the nation.
LaBryan Ray is a four-star defensive end by and ranked sixth in the nation.
Brian Robinson is a four-star running back ranked 16th in the nation by

Tyrell Shavers is a four-star ranked No. 13 wide receiver in the nation.
Devonta Smith, a five-star wide receiver, is ranked No. 3 in the nation.
