Henry Ruggs III Selects Alabama Over Florida State

Alabama landed the Class 7A Back of the Year on Wednesday as Henry Ruggs III pledged his commitment to the Tide. He announced the choice on National Signing Day at 10 AM from the Robert E. Lee HS (AL) auditorium surrounded by coaches, family and friends.

The 6-0, 173 pound Scout.com four-star wide receiver selected Alabama over Florida State Seminoles.  Ruggs, an elusive runner, could see early action as a kick-off and punt returner.  His frame and quickness is perfectly suited for the slot receiver position.

BamaMag.com met with the Class of 2017, no. 75 overall and nation’s 10th rated WR after he committed and inked a National Letter of Intent to play for Nick Saban.  Head Football Coach of the Generals, Tyrone Rogers (DE Alabama State/Cleveland Browns 1999-2004), also discussed his star pupil and top rated wide receiver in the state on Wednesday.
