Watch recent Alabama commitment Pierce Quick's spring game work over the weekend

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. -- Scout checked out some of the top programs in Alabama over the weekend during several game held at Jacksonville State University. Pierce Quick was the lone Alabama commitment participating and he did not disappoint.

Evaluation Notes: Trussville (Ala.) Hewitt-Trussville is coming off a double-digit win 2016 campaign and the future is looking just as bright for the Huskies. One of the reasons why is class of 2019 offensive lineman Pierce Quick, who plays tackle on either side of the front and proves effective as both a run and pass blocker. On Saturday against Cordova (Tenn.) High School it was more of the same, with the rising junior also excelling in space. Quick bends very well, can get to the second level and has the ability to finish plays with his opponent in the dirt as he showed most recently (video above). As he continues to fill out his 6-foot-5 frame and add even more strength, his combination of size, length and mobility is likely to form an elite tackle prospect.

Recruiting Notes: Quick committed to Alabama on April 22.
