Football student-athletes earn degrees

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- A total of eight Alabama football players were scheduled to receive their degrees during graduation ceremonies at The University of Alabama Monday morning.

Receiving their degrees were Dennis Alexander (Memphis, TN) in Consumer Sciences; Wesley Britt (Cullman, AL), Management; Donald Clarke (Boca Raton, FL), Management; Atlas Herrion (Daphne, AL), Consumer Science; Hamid Haqq (Huntsville), Telecommunications and Film; Charles Jones ( Waynesboro, GA), Marketing; Triandos Luke (Phenix City) Marketing; David Scott (Homestead, FL), General Health Studies and Shaud Williams (Andrews, TX), Marketing.

"It is exciting to watch these student-athletes graduate," said Tide head coach Mike Shula.

"It is a huge accomplishment for these players and something I know each one of them worked very hard to achieve."
