MOST COMPETITIVE CONFERENCE

42.3 percent of the SEC's 26 games (11-of-26) have been decided by five-points-or-less while only eight have been decided by more than 16 points. The Mountain West Conference has the next best percentage of close games at 33.3 percent by five points or less (4-of-12).

6 SEC Teams Rank Among Toughest 25 Schedules in Nation

According to the NCAA's Toughest Schedule charts, six Southeastern Conference teams are ranked among the top 25 in the nation. The NCAA ranks teams using the win-loss records of each team's opponents played thus far. For instance, California's schedule ranks as the toughest with its opponents combining for a 35-3 record of teams played thus far. Mississippi State ranks as the SEC's toughest schedule with the Bulldogs' opponents combining for a 24-8 record thus far. Below is a list of the national top 10 and how each SEC team fares:
