Tennessee DL Names Leader

Walter Fisher is a defensive lineman from Tennessee that has named a leader. He has set up three official visits. Who is in the running for his services?

Walter Fisher, 6'4", 245, DE, from Hillsboro Comp HS/Nashville, TN, is getting close to his decision.

Fisher said, "I have not made a commitment yet but I think I know where I am going to go." Fisher went on to say, "Probably, Alabama."

Fisher claims offers from Alabama, Colorado, Tennessee, Florida, Western Kentucky, Middle Tennessee State and a host of others.

When asked what has thrust the Crimson Tide into the lead, Fisher answered with a very common response; it's about being comfortable. "I went to a game there, and I really liked the atmosphere. It is really a good place to go and fit in. I just really like the way it feels there."

Coach Shula has also made impression on Fisher. "I really like Coach Shula. He's a down-to-earth type guy and he's a good coach," Fisher replied.

With Alabama as Fisher's current leader, Florida could move up as he stated, "I like Florida and if they step up their recruiting with me, they would be in my top 2."

Fisher has set official visits to Middle Tennessee State(1/9), Alabama (1/16), and Colorado (1/23). "I have not set my last two visits," Fisher added.

Announcements will be coming fast and furious over the next thirty days and Fisher added, "I will probably wait until Signing Day. Since all the bowl games are over, recruiting is really about to heat up and it should be exciting."

Fisher has taken the ACT and waiting on his score. As a back-up plan, he has already registered to take the ACT again in February.

NOTE: Fisher still must qualify.
