"When I came to Auburn in the Summer, I didn't know much about Alabama, and I went ahead and committed to Auburn," said Marcus Carter. "When I went to Alabama, I changed my mind (about being committed to Auburn). When I was committed to Auburn, I was planning on majoring in Pharmacy, but at Alabama I want to major in Business, because Alabama has a better business school."
Alabama has a need in the defensive secondary, and that need was not lost on
"There's a good chance I can play at Alabama next fall if I work hard. I
love Coach Shula. He's a real nice guy, and I felt like I fit in better at
Alabama than I did at Auburn."
One set of coaches is going to be ecstatic, while one is going to be disappointed.
Have they gotten the news yet?
"I called Coach Shula about twenty minutes ago and let him know I was
coming. I told them earlier in the season that I was probably going to Alabama
instead of Auburn. I tried calling the Auburn coaches tonight too, but I didn't
get an answer so I left a message."
Is Carter done with recruiting now?
"I am definitely going on my official visit to Alabama, but I don't know
about the others just yet. I'll have to check with Alabama."
