Boaz Athlete set to Walk-On

A.J. Milwee is an Alabama Prep Standout from the Class of 2004, that is set to join the Crimson Tide as a Walk-On.

A.J. Milwee, 5'11", 170, 4.6, QB from Boaz HS, will be walking on at Alabama this fall.

"I have always wanted to play at Alabama. It is a very good walk-on opportunity for me and hopefully, I can go out there and earn a spot on the team. It is a very good time to walk-on because Alabama is heading in the right direction," Milwee said.

With 27 signees and 19 scholarships to give, Alabama's coaching staff is looking for quality athletes to walk-on this fall. "Yes, they (coaches) are very excited. They said they were going to need some great players to come in and walk-on since we can only give 19 scholarships this year," Milwee stated.

Milwee related that even though he did not officially receive any offers, his coach had told him a few were going to offer but, "I never went on any visits with them," Milwee added.

Milwee was impressed with this year's signing class and said, "We have a great class coming in. I have seen many of them at football camps and they are all great guys. It is going to be good to be around so many great athletes."
