A.J. Milwee, 5'11", 170, 4.6, QB from Boaz HS, will be walking on at Alabama this fall.
"I have always wanted to play at Alabama. It is a very good walk-on
opportunity for me and hopefully, I can go out there and earn a spot on the
team. It is a very good time to walk-on because Alabama is heading in the right
direction," Milwee said.
With 27 signees and 19 scholarships to give, Alabama's coaching staff is looking
for quality athletes to walk-on this fall. "Yes, they (coaches) are very
excited. They said they were going to need some great players to come in and
walk-on since we can only give 19 scholarships this year," Milwee stated.
Milwee related that even though he did not officially receive any offers, his
coach had told him a few were going to offer but, "I never went on any
visits with them," Milwee added.
Milwee was impressed with this year's signing class and said, "We have a
great class coming in. I have seen many of them at football camps and they are
all great guys. It is going to be good to be around so many great
