Bama still 6th

The Crimson Tide Softball (3-1) team held its place as the number six team in the nation after sweeping the San Jose Spartans and splitting with then No. 12 ranked Stanford at the Stanford Spring Classic last weekend.

Spots 1-5 stayed the same with Alabama 37 votes behind fifth-ranked Washington. UCLA held the top spot receiving 475 votes.

The University of Georgia moved from the No. 10 spot to seventh, while Tennessee moved up from No. 25 to No. 18. The South Carolina Gamecocks moved into the poll at No. 25 after going 4-0 this weekend.

LSU dropped two spots, from No. 15 to No. 17 after going 3-2. Louisiana-Lafayette dropped out of the Top 10 to the 12th spot after being ranked ninth. The Spartans of Michigan State were the only team to drop out of the poll.

The Florida Gators were the lone other SEC team receiving votes.
