Alabama enters the week with a three-game winning streak. The Crimson Tide swept Cincinnati this past weekend for its 27th consecutive non-conference home series win. The three-game sweep of the Bearcats was the 14th home non-conference sweep in the Jim Wells era.

Alabama Baseball Notebook

  • Junior third baseman Allen Rice (Pelham) leads the Crimson Tide with a .536 (15-for-28) batting average with one home run and six RBI. He has hit safely in all seven games for Alabama this season.
  • Sophomore left fielder Evan Bush (Rainbow City) is hitting 364 (8-for-22) this season with eight runs scored, two home runs and five RBI. He hit his first career home run in a loss at Jax State on Feb. 18. In the Tide's 6-3 win over Cincinnati, Bush collected two hits, including game-winning RBI in the Tide's 6-3 win over Cincinnati on Feb. 20. He also added a double in that game. In Bama's 12-0 win over the Bearcats, Bush went 2-for-4, including his second home run in three games, and scored two runs in the first shutout of the season.
  • Bush tied the Alabama single-game record in the series finale with Cincinnati with two sacrifice flies in the Tide's 3-2 win. He drove in the first run of the game in the first inning and then tied the game with his second sac fly in the sixth.
