Opp Lineman Likes Tide

<b>Andrew Showalter</b> names his Top 5 along with one Leader. Showalter is a big interior line prospect that has a busy summer planned.

Andrew Showalter, 6' 3", 290, OL, from Opp HS, favors the in-state schools. "Alabama, Auburn and Troy State," Showalter said were his favorite teams. "Alabama has the lead right now," he added.

Showalter's honors his junior year: Best Offensive Lineman vs. Dale County Best Offensive Lineman vs. Beaugard Hammer Award vs. Headland (play-offs) All-County

Alabama currently leads as Showalter explained, "I went there for a camp and the coaches seem to know what they are talking about."

The list of schools showing the most interest in his services include Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Southern Miss, Stanford, Vanderbilt, Samford, UAB and North Alabama.

Showalter has qualities that coaches look for in a player as he said, "I try to be a great leader to all my friends on the team and try to help out as much as I can."

Showalter attended the Auburn Senior Camp in 2003 and Alabama's Team Camp in 2002 and 2003. His summer schedule will be extremely busy as he plans to attend camps at Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Troy State.

Showalter is an excellent student that should have no trouble qualifying.
