Alabama Lineman Piling Up the Offers

Wes Bown of Athens High School is one of the top line prospects in the state of Alabama for the Class of 2005. Brown is holding seven offers, and that number will continue to increase as the year progresses.

"I have recently received new offers from Louisville and Duke. I received the offers two weeks ago. I now have offers from Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Duke, and Louisville," said Wes Brown.

Brown is naming favorites and said, "I really am considering Tennessee, Alabama and Auburn. Receiving a degree from Vanderbilt would be really nice."

Brown is a two sport stand-out and considers playing both sports in college. "I also like Mississippi State because they told me they would not have a problem with me playing football and baseball. I'm not ruling anyone out though," Brown added.

Brown took a road trip to Oxford and said, "I went to Ole Miss last weekend. It was really nice. We got to go up in the skybox and eat lunch. The campus was beautiful. I was able to speak to Coach Hobby, and he is a really nice guy. I met Coach Cutcliffe but did not talk to him much."

On the way home from Oxford, Brown took a little detour. "When we were going home on Sunday, we stopped in Starkville, and I talked to Coach Haley," Brown added.

Brown will be looking for several things before he makes a decision. "I want to see how I would fit in. I want to like all the coaches. Right now, I haven't met any bad coaches. I want to choose the place where I will be the most happy."

Brown plans to have a busy summer and commented, "I plan to camp at Vanderbilt, Alabama and Tennessee. I'm going to the MSL/TheInsiders combine in Atlanta next weekend."
