Texan Discusses Visit to Alabama

Jonathan Lewis is one of the top defensive lineman in the state of Texas. As a junior, Jonathan Lewis had sixty-one tackles, five sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and three batted passes.  He was in Tuscaloosa for Alabama's senior camp last weekend. What did the big man think of the Crimson Tide?

"I really liked the camp a lot.  I had a lot of fun.  It felt like home to me.  I was able to hang out with Coach Connelly a lot.  I  got to meet Coach Randolph and Coach Shula," said Lewis. "I loved the atmosphere and all the people were really friendly.  I really liked talking with the coaches.  They were fun to talk to and were all really nice."

When asked how this Texan ranked Alabama after his visit, Lewis replied, "They are definitely in my top three.  I am  considering Kansas State, Wisconsin, and Arkansas.  I have offers from all these schools, plus, Tulane, Tulsa and Miami."

"I received the offer from Alabama a couple of months ago," Lewis added.

Lewis has one more camp planned and said, "I'm going to Texas A&M on the 18th.  I think that will be the last camp I go to."

Lewis plans to think a little longer about his decision.  "I don't think a decision will come anytime soon," Lewis replied.
