The Miami coaches have Trott's attention and made an impression on this Alabama recruit.
"We went and talked with a bunch of people, and they were all real nice. I hung out with the tight end's coach, Coach Cristobal, most of the time. He is extremely funny. He is great to be around. I talked to Coach Coker for a while and he is a really nice guy," Trott said.
Trott is beginning to recognize the varied philosophies in the world of college football. "I went to Vanderbilt three or four days before I went to Miami. It was fun but I could tell a big difference. Vanderbilt really hit on academics a lot more than they did football."
"With Miami, they have gone like 46-4, the past few years. Miami's approach is you can come there to win football games and have the opportunity to play for a National Championship."
"Alabama talks their tradition like Miami, and they are starting to rebuild. Nebraska got a new head coach and they will be running the West Coast offense," Trott said.
It's going to be tough for this star tight end to start eliminating schools.
"I don't know when I will narrow down the list. I know I'm looking at the two in-state schools, Miami, Florida and Nebraska," added Trott.
Nebraska is a new school that has started showing a lot of interest.
"Nebraska just came into it. They offered me an official visit and seem very interested. I am interested in Nebraska and will definitely take an official visit. I know I will probably take one of my visits to Nebraska and I will probably go back to Miami."
Trott has finished the camp tour but might take a few looks before his season begins. "I might drive to Gainesville or LSU but I'm not sure about that."
