Monday Scrimmage Photo Report

NOTE: This page is best viewed using a HIGH SPEED Internet connection -- Alabama had its first scrimmage Monday afternoon, and freshman wide receiver D.J. Hall had a standout day with four catches, most among the newcomers at receiver. Matt Caddell and Tyrone Prothro each had four receptions on the day.

Tyrone Prothro has been one of the Tide's top performers in fall camp.

The east stands of Bryant-Denny Stadium were littered with orange on Monday, but not because any Tennessee fans were in Tuscaloosa. Some 14 players were wearing the orange "injured" jerseys Monday, but Mike Shula said that most of those injuries are minor.

Wallace Gilberry loosens up before scrimmage. Gilberry had four tackles (one for loss) Monday. Defensive ends coach Paul Randolph has spoken highly of Gilberry's work in fall camp.

Brodie unloads a pass Monday. Many of the fans in attendance got to see what coaches Shula and Rader have seen out of Brodie throughout fall camp – a strong, accurate arm.
