Center Commits to Tide

The Crimson Tide won a recruiting battle over the Vols, Rebels and Gamecocks today and landed a commitment from center Cole Harvey from Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln High School.

The Alabama Crimson Tide picked up a verbal commitment from Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln offensive line prospect Cole Harvey. Harvey committed earlier today to Alabama over Tennessee, South Carolina, Ole Miss and others.

"I took a visit back in July and I loved it there," said Harvey. "They have great facilities and I really like the coaching staff. We saw eye to eye on everything. Coach (Mike) Shula is very laid back and I love their OL coach Bob Connelly. He really recruited me hard. They want me to play center there and only have one on scholarship so it's a great playing opportunity for me."

Harvey is 6-3 and 250 pounds.
