Tide Commitment Enjoys Atmosphere

Baron Huber of Powell High School in Knoxville, Tennessee made a verbal commitment to the University of Alabama. Huber returned to Tuscaloosa to attend the season opener against Utah State.

Baron Huber came away impressed with the atmosphere at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

"It was something else. It was great to see how excited all the fans were. The defense played well and they showed a lot of emotion. It was very exciting," said Huber.

Evan Cardwell (another Alabama commitment) was in attendance for the game on Saturday. Huber was able to meet his future teammate.

"I got to meet Evan Cardwell. He is a really nice guy. He is a big boy. I got his phone number and I think he is going to come stay with me when we play Tennessee."

Huber also spoke with several coaches and players.

"I spoke with Coach Woods, Coach Randolph, and Coach Kines. I talked with Juawn Garth and a few of the other linebackers."

Huber's commitment is 100% solid to Alabama.

"I will not go to any other school for games. I will not go to any other school for an official visit. The only school I will go on an official visit to is Alabama," said Huber.

Powell High School has started out to a great start and had a big win last Friday night.

"The season has been going really good. We won the other night 57-14, against Morristown-East. I had a good game. I had 11 tackles, 2 sacks, and a forced fumble. I was nominated for defensive player of the week. I was one out of four nominated, so I will find out on Thursday. We play Karns at home this Friday night. It is a big rival game. Last week at our game, I saw some local Alabama fans there watching me. I really liked that," said Huber.
