Top JuCo Receiver Has Load of Offers

Originally from the state of Florida, could Julius McClellan of Coahoma Community College be headed back to his home state, or will he keep his vast talent closer to his new home in Mississippi?

Julius McClellan of Coahoma Community College is one of the top receivers in the country. He has received offers from what looks like a who's who of college football, and he talks a little about who he would like to visit.

McClellan has received offers from several of the top programs in the country and is wide open about his decision.

"Quite a few coaches have called. USC, Texas, Oklahoma, Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, Florida, and Florida State. All those schools have offered me. I am considering all those schools. Schools like Alabama and Auburn are saying I can play defense. That is what I played in high school, so I like that," said McClellan.

McClellan has not attended any games as of yet, but plans to soon.

"I am going to go to some games around here. I am going to go to Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Alabama, Auburn, and LSU."

Before a decision is made, McClellan will be looking at a few aspects.

"I want to be able to go play and win. I want to go to a program I will have a chance to play for a national championship. I probably will have a decision made by the end of the season, said McClellan.

"I am trying to get out of here. I know I will have to come back next semester to take one class. I will not be able to graduate until next semester," McClellan added.

As a freshman, McClellan, had 48 catches for 1,297 yards and 14 touchdowns. McClellan is off to another great year, but the team is struggling.

"It has been rough for our team this year. We are still going to go out and play hard tomorrow night against Itawamba. I have been having a good year. I am averaging about 124 yards receiving and I have scored five touchdowns," said McClellan.
