"I have set up one official visit to Alabama. I am taking my visit the weekend of the Alabama/Auburn game. I have not set up any other official visits. I was suppose to go to the Florida/Georgia game, but now with the situation with the head coach, I am going to wait and see what happens. I want to check out Ohio State and Penn State as well," said Jim Miller.

Miller knows what he likes about the Crimson Tide.

"I know about the tradition at Alabama. It's a big football community. They are adding on to the stadium in 2006. I have grown up in LA my whole life and I would love to play in a small town. You don't get the football vibe in a big city. I could really see myself playing in the SEC in a run stopping oriented defense. They now have the number one defense in the nation. I really like that a lot."

Alabama looks to be in good shape to land the standout linebacker, but Miller is in no hurry to make a decision.

"I am pretty sure I am going to wait until after my visits. I am really liking Alabama. They are number one on my list right now. I am not in any rush. If I had to commit, I probably would. Coach Connelly has told me I don't have to rush it," said Miller.

Since Miller's freshman year, Coach Connelly has made a strong impression.

"Coach Connelly is a great guy. I have gotten to know him very well. He knew me when I was a freshman and a sophomore when he was at Washington State. I used to always go to their camps. I was the Defensive MVP at the camp my sophomore year."

Miller is looking for a few aspects when he starts taking his visits.

"I want to check out the weather. When I went up to Washington, I really didn't like it. It would rain, shine, rain, shine. I am from southern California where it is always sunny. I am going to see how the players and coaches interact. I want to feel the football vibe in the town. I am going to check out the stadium and I want to look at academics. I want to compare all the places. The only places I know about is USC, Louisville, Washington, and UCLA. I feel like I will end up in the SEC or ACC," said Miller.

Miller has received several offers over the course of his senior season.

"I have received official offers from Alabama, UAB, Mississippi State, Kentucky, Florida State (as a fullback), East Carolina, and Central Florida. Penn State and Ohio State have said they are waiting on my transcripts. I have no offers from any PAC 10 schools. I am starting to talk to Nebraska a lot too."

Several coaches are staying in close contact.

"I talk to Coach Connelly (Alabama) for the most part. A lot of coaches call me in the morning, after I leave for school. I talked to a coach from UAB tonight. I talk to Coach Bradley (Penn State), Coach Lake (Washington), East Carolina, and Oregon."

Miller is having a strong senior season. This is Homecoming week, and Miller is hoping for a big win.

"The season is going good. We are 5-2. We have homecoming this week against Fairfax to decide our league title. We beat Palisades, 35-0, last week. I have around 105 tackles, three sacks, and two fumble recoveries through the year so far," said Miller.
