Back from Texas Tech - Bama up Next

This past weekend, Zach Schreiber, LB/DE of Evangel Christian Academy, took his first official visit to Texas Tech. Alabama is up next for the big athlete.

"It was a good place. The trip went really good. It is a really nice campus and a good college football town," said Zach Schreiber.

Schreiber enjoyed meeting all of the coaches and had a great time with his player host.

"I was able to meet the defensive coordinator, head coach, the recruiting coordinator, and my recruiting coach, Coach Dykes. My player host was Brent Slaughter. He was a great guy. I could definitely see myself hanging out with him, if I went to Texas Tech," said Schreiber.

As for now, Schreiber has scheduled one other visit.

"I am going to Alabama in November, for my official visit, when they play Auburn. I am trying to plan a visit to Oklahoma State. I am thinking about making a trip out to San Diego State after the season and I might go to Vanderbilt."

The star linebacker is looking forward to his visit to Tuscaloosa and has several reasons for visiting the Tide.

"I really like them a lot. They are in the SEC and they have great tradition. It is a great football town. They have the best defense in the nation, and I want to go somewhere that the team is going to be successful. That is definitely going to play a role in my decision," said Schreiber.

Schreiber is very impressed with one of Alabama's coaches.

"Coach Harbison is my recruiting coach. He is a great guy. He is from Louisiana and he is a really nice guy. I can't wait to meet him."

"I don't have any favorites. I am going to take all of my visits before I make a decision. When you go on your visits, you get to experience everything. I want to find the place I feel the most comfortable. I am going to go to as many places as I can," Schreiber added.

Evangel Christian is having a great year and Schreiber believes the team will win another state championship.

"The season is going good. We have won three in a row. We are 5-3, and we have two more district games. After those two games, we are going to head into the playoffs and win the state championship. I am having a pretty good year. I have forty tackles, eleven sacks, and twenty tackles for loss. This week, we play Huntington at Home.
