Top Alabama DL Knows 4 Visits

Bobby Greenwood is a 6-5, 235 pound defensive end for Prattville High School that is one of the top defensive lineman in the southeast. Greenwood has helped lead his team to an undefeated season. His season isn't over, but he knows the four schools he will visit officially.

"We are undefeated. We are going to play Robertsdale at Home for the first round of the playoffs. I think we have an awesome team. We are getting a lot of players injured. It is just time for us to win a State Championship. We would definitely like to play Hoover in the finals," said Bobby Greenwood.

Greenwood knows which schools he plans to visit, but has not finalized any plans.

"I know I am going to Vanderbilt, Auburn, Alabama, and Florida State. I don't know if I will go anywhere else. I have been talking with the coaches about setting up visits, but I don't have any dates. I will probably go to Vanderbilt in December and take the rest in January."

It is a tight race for Greenwood's signature, as each school stands out in some way.

"It is still pretty close between those four schools. I think the deciding factor will be the official visits and the atmosphere of the school," said Greenwood.

What is Greenwood looking at with each of his favorites?

Alabama: "Alabama has a lot of potential. They are starting to get off of probation and they will be very good the next few years."
Auburn: "Their ranking stands out to me. Auburn is just having a great season, and they are fun to watch."
Florida State: "They have been a dominating team throughout the 90's and they were ranked, last weekend, at # 5. They also have Coach Bowden."
Vanderbilt: "The thing that stands out to me about Vanderbilt, is education."

When asked about a decision, Greenwood replied, " Most likely, it will be after my visits."

Throughout the season, several coaches have watched Greenwood play.

"Coach Tuberville (Auburn) came to one of my games. Recruiting coaches from Vanderbilt, Florida, and Alabama have all been at my games," said Greenwood.

For the season, Greenwood has recorded forty-eight tackles with thirteen sacks.

Greenwood attended the Alabama/Mississippi State game and was impressed with the Tide's win.

"It was pretty awesome. It was great to see them beat Mississippi State after State beat Florida. I really had a great time. Alabama has moved up on my list, but I don't know yet if I can say they are my overall favorite. I couldn't really say right now," said Greenwood.

During his visit, Greenwood spoke with a couple of coaches and spent time with former Prattville stand-outs and current Tide players.

"I talked to Coach Randolph and Coach Shula. They told me they really want me to come back for an official visit. I think I am going to take the visit in January, but I am not sure the date yet. I was able to talk to Kyle Tatum and Roman Harper. I hung out with both of them on Saturday night. We had a lot of fun."

Prattville is ready to keep the streak alive as they host the first round of the playoffs.

"It feels great to be undefeated. We just want to win the State Championship," said Greenwood.
