"It is a Big Time Football City"

Mikell Simpson of Harrisburg High School, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, is one of the top running back prospects on the east coast. Simpson attended the Iron Bowl on an official visit.

"I had a great time. It was fun down there. The game was crazy and I really enjoyed it. I did not expect the fans to be like that. It is a big time football city," said Mikell Simpson. "This was my third visit. I have been to Virginia and Michigan State. Alabama has been the best visit that I have been on. The facilities and environment are great and the players were all real cool," Simpson added.

The Alabama coaching staff is looking to sign a big time running back or two. After making a strong impression on Simpson, they may have found one.

"I was able to meet all of the coaching staff. They were all good guys and very upfront. I was able to meet Coach Sparky Woods, my recruiting coach. He is really cool. He is also my position coach, and I could really see myself being around him. Coach Shula is a great guy. He really understands the recruiting process. He told me they really want a few running backs, and I could have a chance to play early," said Simpson.

During his visit, Simpson was able to hang out with a few players.

"My player host was Tim Castille. We had a good time. We met up with a few of the other players at a party and just had a good time."

After an impressive visit, Simpson plans to wait before he makes any decision.

"There are several things I am going to have to look at before making my decision. I am going to sit down with my parents after my visits and talk with them about each school. I don't think a decision will come until signing day," said Simpson.

Simpson will take his next official visit to UCLA on December 3-5. He is unsure where or if he will a fifth visit.
