"Coach Brad Scott from Clemson was here yesterday. The visit went really good. I like Coach Scott. That was the first visit I received. It will not matter they were the first school to visit. I know the coaches were at other places. I am not sure when anyone else is planning to come," Mike Davis said.
Davis has set official visits to three SEC schools. When asked about the schools
who are fortunate to receive visits, Davis replied, "I am going to
Kentucky, Alabama, and Auburn."
Hailing from Columbia, South Carolina, Davis talks about two of his choices for
"Auburn is a really good running school. I am comfortable with the coaching
staff, and I feel like I will be able to play early. It would be a good time for
me to go there. Alabama is the same as Auburn. They are a great running school,
and they are losing their top back. I really can't wait for my visits to both
Alabama and Auburn are going head-to-head for several prospects and Davis is
impressed with coaches from both schools.
"Coach Price is my recruiting coach from Auburn. He is a great recruiter. I
really like him a lot. He is the kind of person that makes you want to go to the
school because of him. Sparky Woods is my recruiting coach at Alabama. He is a
good recruiter and a good coach. I have spent a lot of time on the phone with
him. I have really enjoyed it."
Davis feels it is important to hold off on a decision until after his official
" I would like to say for now, my decision will be made after my visits. If
I go somewhere and it turns out to be the place I want to be, then I would
commit. I want to meet the coaches and players. I want to see how I feel and how
they treat me. I want to check out some classes I might be taking. I really just
want to have a good time," Davis said.
Davis is finished with his senior season. Now it's time to focus on the next
"We finished the season 8-5. We lost in the second round of the play-offs.
I don't know any of my stats except, I had twenty-eight touchdowns."
