Jerraud Powers Visits Alabama

Jerraud Powers is one of the top defensive back prospects in the state of Alabama this year, and he took an official visit to Alabama last weekend. How was his visit, and where does he currently stand?

"The visit went well," said Jerraud Powers. "Juwan Garth was my host. We pretty much hung out with the other players and toured the facilities. Then we went to the basketball game; that was the highlight of the trip."

Powers got to speak with the Head Man of the Crimson Tide.

"Coach Shula talked to me about what Alabama could do for me as a football player. We talked about the opportunity to play early, and he showed me the depth chart and where I fit in."

Powers has several visits set up, but it looks like he won't need to take all of them.

"I've already been to Vanderbilt and Alabama. I'm going to Auburn this weekend. I have Memphis set up for January 14th, but I don't think I'll be making that visit. I hope to have a decision by Christmas."

And is he ready to tip his hand?

"All of the schools are pretty much even right now."

Stay tuned, Christmas is right around the corner.
