Rogers Knows Where He's Going

Chris Rogers, from Lakeland, Fla., returned from his official to Alabama with his mind made up on which college he would attend, but the Evangel Christian defensive back wanted his mother to be the first to hear the words from his mouth.

"I know where I am going next year. I haven't even told my mom," Chris Rogers said. "I'm announcing on-line, next week sometime, with ESPN."

"The visit went great. I was really impressed. I was impressed with Alabama before I went on the visit. Alabama speaks for itself," he said.

Rogers was hosted by Tide safety Charilie Peprah.

"I hung out the whole time with Roman Harper, Chris Keys and Peprah," Rogers said. "They're all real cool guys. I met a few other guys like Glen Coffee, Ali Sharrief, Antonio Coleman, Colin Peek and Jimmy Johns," he added.

When asked if he was still committed to Maryland, Rogers replied, "No comment. I haven't talked to the coaches yet, but probably going to call them sometime soon. I had a trip scheduled to South Carolina, but I canceled that visit."
