Ford liked several things about his visit.
"I got to see the campus, and it was beautiful," he said. "I was able to speak with an academic counselor. That was great for me. Everyone at Alabama treats you like you are already there - like you are already a part of the family. I liked going to the basketball game. Alabama looked really good."
Ford was hosted by one of the top fullbacks in the SEC.
"Le'Ron McClain was my host," Ford said. "He was real cool. I would not mind running behind him in the future."
The Alabama coaching staff made a strong impression with the star running back.
"The entire coaching staff was all very nice. They are all men of their word. They let me know they don't just want me, but they need me. I really liked hearing that," Ford said.
Ford came away impressed with his visit to Alabama. He was extremely close to committing, but is now planning to take a few more visits.
"Alabama is definitely my favorite," he said. "The Alabama coaches talked to me about going ahead and making my commitment. I told them I wanted to talk to my mom before I did anything. I am not sure if I will have a decision before I take anymore visits or not. I will know where I am going on February 2. I am hoping to take two more visits. One visit to South Carolina (1/14) and to Auburn (1/21)."
