Rogers Commits to Tide

On Tuesday evening Lakeland Fla. cornerback Chris Rogers cancelled a scheduled visit to South Carolina and affirmed his commitment to Alabama, he told Scout.com. Rogers said Sunday night that he'd made his choice of schools, but that he wanted to wait to reveal his decision.

"I've been thinking about it a while and I'm 100 per cent committed to Alabama," Chris Rogers said. "I'm not taking my visit to South Carolina."

Rogers said he spoke with an excited Alabama Coach Chris Ball Tuesday evening to give him the news. Rogers said he chose the Tide "because of Coach Ball. The tradition is great but I just felt comfortable with Coach Ball. I know I'm going to have to work hard."

Rogers is 6-0 and 175 pounds. As a senior at Evangel Christian, Rogers recorded 111 tackles, three interceptions, five forced fumbles and three pass break-ups.
