Top Alabama ATH Back from Visit

Desmond Jennings, of Pinson Valley High School, is one of the top athletes in the state of Alabama. As a senior, Jennings racked up 3,035 yards of total offense, and had a total of 41 touchdowns. The three sport phenom was in Tuscaloosa this weekend for an official visit.

"It was good. I liked everything about it. I loved how they treated me down there. My favorite thing I was able to do was talk with all the coaches," said Desmond Jennings.

The three star athlete had a great time with one of his former teammates. My player host was Demarcus Waldrop. It was a lot of fun being able to hang out with him again. He showed me a real good time."

Though the Tide have not officially offered Jennings a scholarship, Jennings is very impressed with the coaching staff.

"I went down there on a visit to let the coaches know I am very interested. I really like Alabama, but they have not offered me anything. I talked to Coach Harbison for a while. He told me how much they really like me," said Jennings.

Jennings knows he will head to a junior college for his first two years of college. He is already talking to several schools.

"I am going to visit Itawamba next weekend. There are a whole lot of other schools that are talking to me. Northwest Mississippi, East Mississippi, and Butler Community College in Kansas/ They have all been sending me a lot of stuff. I am not sure where I will go right now."

The Pinson Valley basketball team is on a hot streak. Jennings has played a huge role in the past two games.

"In one game, I scored 32 points. In another game, I scored 43 points. We have won 11 of our last 13. We should go to the tournament this year. We have a really good team. Area tournament begins sometime in February," said Jennings.
