"Alabama, Duke, and Birmingham Southern have been sending me mail. Alabama has been sending me the most mail so far. I have not received any offers yet. Alabama is my favorite school. I played with Tim and Simeon Castille. I would really like to play with them again. I have also been an Alabama fan my whole life," said Andy Davis.
Briarwood finished the season losing in the first round of the play-offs against Williamson. Davis looks to improve last year's record, and lead Briarwood to another state championship.
"We are going to be good. We have been working out for about a month. We are looking really good. We have to find a few more players to fill some spots, but we should make a run at the state championship this year."
After watching Davis play in the Junior All-Star game, it was obvious he loves to hit. Davis knows hitting is one of his strong points, but his speed is his greatest gift.
"I really love to hit. I try to go out there and be the intimidator. I can cover good, but I really like to come up and hit someone. I love playing the game. I have a lot of passion. My speed is another strength. I usually don't run full speed during games, I have to try and slow myself down, so I can make a play," said Davis.
Davis plans to visit two of the in-state schools.
"This weekend, I am going to Alabama's Junior Day. I am going down to Auburn on March 5th for their Junior Day."
Davis has already posted 293 career tackles, and will look to pile on to that number as a senior.
