Higginbotham Weighing Tide Offer

After receiving his first offer from Alabama, Charlie Higginbotham from Mountain Brook High School, tripped to Tuscaloosa for Alabama's A-Day game.

"I enjoyed it a lot. I really enjoyed watching the defense. They seem to be doing very well. I also enjoyed watching John Parker Wilson. He seems to be doing really good," said Charlie Higginbotham.

The Alabama coaching staff was delighted to see Higginbotham in attendance.

"I really enjoyed meeting all of the coaches," he said. "They were all nice and very welcoming. I was able to meet Coach Kines, Coach Cheese (Harbison) and Coach Shula. They were all very nice and fun to talk to."

After recording over 160 tackles as a junior, the Alabama coaching staff decided to extend an early offer to the Mountain Brook star. The Tide may end up with an early commitment.

"Right now, Alabama is extremely high on my list. I am very flattered they offered me as early as they did. I have thought about making an early commitment, but for now, I am keeping everything open and weighing my options," said Higginbotham.

When asked about other spring games and camps, Higginbotham replied, "I haven't really planned on going anywhere else. My dad and I are going to sit down and talk about it, but for now, I won't be going anywhere. I have not set up any camp dates yet either."

So far, Alabama is the only school to extend an offer.
