Etowah Duo Receive Tide Offer

Randy Dupree and Jacobi Graves, from Etowah High School, were in Tuscaloosa for Alabama's A-Day game. Before leaving Tuscaloosa, the duo received their first offer.

Randy Dupree is one of the top running backs in the class of 2006. Jacobi Graves is equally impressive on the defensive line.

"Alabama offered me this weekend," said Dupree. "It was great. It was wonderful. I was surprised they offered. I have been an Alabama fan my whole life. It has always been my dream to play there. It was hard to not go ahead and commit, but I want to wait and see all of my options."

The Alabama coaching staff made a strong impression with the two Etowah stars.

According to Graves, "I talked to Coach Randolph and Coach Shula. They said to keep my grades up, and they wanted me in camp this summer. I like them a lot. I feel like I am very close to them, and I have a great time when I am around them."

Dupree said, "I was able to speak with every coach. I like all of them. I met my recruiting coach, Coach Ungerer. I spent most of the time with Coach Shula and Coach Ball."

After receiving their first offer, Dupree and Graves are high on Alabama.

"I am still very high on Alabama. Alabama and Auburn are my two favorites right now," said Dupree.

"I really like them a lot. They are one of my favorites," said Graves.

Mississippi State is the next stop for the Etowah teammates as they travel to Starkville for their spring game April 12.

Graves and Dupree plan to camp at Alabama, Auburn, and Mississippi State.
