Ross with Big SEC Offers

One of the top offensive line prospects in the south attends Homewood High School.

David Ross, 6-4, 285, was holding two SEC offers, but now is holding four. Two powerhouse programs have recently offered.

Auburn and Vanderbilt were the first two schools to extend scholarship offers. Last week, Ross was in Tuscaloosa for an unofficial visit.

"Alabama and LSU have both offered recently. I am flattered with the two new offers. I am really glad about the offer from Alabama, since I live in Birmingham. LSU is a real serious program, and it‚s a big offer for me. I am honored and impressed with both of those schools," said Ross.

After an offer was extended by the Crimson Tide, Ross knew it was time to visit with the Alabama coaching staff.

"Last Thursday, I took an unofficial visit to Alabama. I had not been able to spend as much time on the campus or with the coaches, than I had been able to with other schools. I called Coach Harbison (recruiting coach), and he set up the day for me. The offensive line was working out that day. I was able to meet with Coach Shula and Coach Connelly. I also met with the rest of the staff."

"I was real impressed with the visit," Ross said. "They are building a big time program down there. The facilities are second to none. It was a really good visit."

Before attending summer camps, Ross has several unofficial visits scheduled for the spring.

"I want to take an unofficial visit to Auburn and Florida before I go to camp this summer. I think it will help me make a quicker decision. I think the earlier the better, and I want to focus on winning another state championship. I know I will attend camps at Alabama, Florida, and Auburn. I might attend one more, but I am not sure yet."

When asked about favorites, Ross replied, "I really don't have a favorite right now. Alabama, Auburn, and Florida are my top three schools. They have been since the beginning. They are all equal."
