"I thought the combine was really good," Turner said. "I felt like I did good. I did really good in the one-on-one drills. I only lost once, and that was against the best guy there (Maurice Hurt). He was really good. Nobody could get past him. I felt like this weekend really helped me," said Turner.
Although he has not received any offers, Turner feels several schools are close to offering.
"The schools showing the most interest in me right now are Alabama, UAB, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, LSU, Southern Miss, Arkansas, Illinois, Louisville, and Oregon," he said. "I have not received any offers yet, but hopefully after this past weekend, I will start getting some."
"I don't really have any favorites right now," Turner said. "Well, Alabama is a favorite. I like everything about them. I like the campus, the coaching staff, the town, and the facilities."
"Coaches from UAB, Auburn, Alabama, and Louisville have all been by the school. The only coach who has called me so far is Coach Butler from Southern Miss," he said.
Turner plans to camp at Alabama, LSU, Auburn, and Clemson.
Scott Kennedy's report on Turner after a spectacular combine:
"Another local product that put on a show on Saturday was Daphne's Bryant Turner. Unstoppable in the one on ones, Turner's 4.5 shuttle quickness translated to making life miserable for the offensive linemen trying to stop him on Saturday.
