Ready to Impress

London Crawford, a 6-3, 200-pound receiver from Davidson High School in Mobile, is seeking his first scholarship offer. During the spring evaluation period several Southeastern Conference coaches have stopped by the Davidson campus.

"I have seen coaches from Alabama, Tennessee, and Auburn. There have been a lot of different coaches, but I can't remember all of them. I have not received any phone calls yet," London Crawford said.

Several college coaches are expected in Mobile Friday night to watch a big jamboree game involving three of the state's top schools. Several top prospects will have the opportunity to showcase their skills.

"Our game is Friday night against Huffman and Vigor. We are looking very good right now, and we are ready for them," Crawford said.

Crawford plans to attend summer camps at Alabama and Auburn, and will travel to New Orleans May 21, for the combine.

While Crawford is awaiting his first offer, the Davidson receiver does have a list of his top schools. He said, "I don't have an overall favorite, but the three schools I like the most are Alabama, Auburn, and Miami."

Crawford gave his thoughts on each of his top three schools:

Alabama: "The coaches have said they are going to be going four wide next fall. I love to go out and catch the ball, but I also don't mind laying a big block on someone."

Auburn: "I really like the coordination of the team."

Miami: "About the same as Auburn. They also have a really good program."
