"The game went alright," Bryant Turner said. "I did alright, but I think I could have done better. I had four tackles and one sack. The varsity team only played one half. I saw coaches from LSU, Michigan, and Southern Miss at the game. There could have been more, but that is all I saw."
At the Scout.com combine in Auburn, Turner was one of the best performers of the day. He clocked in the 4.6 range in the 40-yard run, and was unstoppable in the one-on-one drills. He is seeking his first offer and believes a few schools are close.
"I talked to Coach Henson (LSU) the other night on the phone. He seems very interested in me. He said he would really like to see me at their camp this summer. I also feel like Southern Miss may be close to offering," Turner said.
LSU and Southern Miss are expressing a lot of interest, along with Alabama.
Turner said, "I talked to Coach Buddy Wyatt (Alabama) on the phone about a week ago. I like him a lot. He seems like a very nice person. He said they are interested in me. I am planning to camp at Alabama for one of their senior camps this summer."
"Besides Coach Wyatt, I have received phone calls from Coach Butler (Southern Miss) and Coach Henson. I went to Junior Day at Southern Miss, and I met Coach Butler. He is a very nice guy. Southern Miss seems very interested in me right now. Coach Henson has called me, and he attended my spring game. I can tell he is interested in me," Turner added.
Turner grew up an Alabama fan, but when asked his current favorites, Turner replied, "I don't really have any favorites right now. I am going to keep everything open."
Turner plans to attend summer camps at Alabama, Auburn, and Southern Miss.
