Tide Softball 'To Be Continued'

Tied at 1-1 in extra innings between the eighth-ranked Crimson Tide and DePaul in a Women's College World Series elimination game in Oklahoma City Saturday afternoon, Mother Nature took over, postponing the conclusion of the contest until 10:00 a.m. Sunday.

The conclusion of the game will not be televised on ESPN, but the winner will take on the Tennessee Lady Vols on ESPN at 2:00 p.m. CT.

"You hope to score a run in the bottom of the eighth inning and get it over with quick so you don't have to play three games tomorrow," Alabama head coach Patrick Murphy said. "These are elimination games. If today's (weather is) any indication, you could be here all day tomorrow."

Bama and Depaul were locked in a pitchers duel, with Alabama drawing first blood in the bottom of the fourth inning on Dani Woods' (FR, Cockeysville, Md.) one-out single up the middle drove in Dominique Accetturo (JR, Pembroke Pines, Fla.) for a 1-0 lead Alabama lead.

DePaul rallied in top of the sixth inning tying the game at 1-1 when Jessica Evans scored on VanBrakle's second wild pitch of the inning after she had broken up VanBrakle's no-hitter earlier in the inning.
